About this audiobook

"PARENTING MAGAZINE RECOMMENDED! Discover the magical world of Robert Stanek's Bugville Critters! Stanek, acclaimed author of the popular children's books The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches and Journey Beyond the Beyond, has selected an irresistible combination for young listeners: loveable critters and heart-warming stories. The Bugville Critters stories address all the major issues of growing up and are designed to appeal to the ever-growing interests of children everywhere. The stories combine facts about our natural world with fictional stories that instruct and entertain. Robert Stanek wrote The Bugville Critters books as bedtime stories for his children. His children enjoyed the stories so much they urged him to bring his stories to life for other children to enjoy, and that is what he set out to do. This production, great for younger listeners, includes four Stanek favorites: Visit City Hall, Have a Surprise Party, Have a Backyard Picnic, and Compete in the Big Spelling Bee. In the first story, there’s a big meeting at City Hall and all the bugs in Bugville are going. While just about all the other bugs are excited, Lass Ladybug is worried. She thinks something bad is going to happen. To find out if she’s right, you’ll have to listen to the story. In the second story, Lass and her family have a surprise party and everyone is invited. Well almost everyone, for you see there’s a problem with the invitations; and some certain, special bugs may not be coming to the party. To find out what happens, you’ll have to listen to the story. In the third story, Lass Ladybug doesn’t let Cat Caterpillar come over to play because she and her other friends are practicing for the B. Havior School Annual Spelling Bee. Mom Ladybug comes up with a plan to correct Lass’s rude behavior and that plan includes a fantastic picnic lunch in the backyard for Lass and her friends. In the fourth story, Lass Ladybug and her friends Sarah Silkworm, Buster Bee, and Barry Beetle compete in the B. Havior School Annual Spelling Bee. When Lass gets a big case of stage fright, her family and friends work together to help her through it. What are you waiting for? Join us on a journey to Bugville where you'll meet Lass Ladybug and all her friends."
