This is an important book for everyone. Listening to Ms Khan-Cullors words in her voice is very moving. This country desperately needs more leaders like her. People who care deeply about other people.

I finished this book in 2 days. I weeped and was filled with angry all at the same time. This book has set me on fire for justice and for heaven to come to earth. Everyone needs to read this book. It's a great book to suggest to people who say "all lives matter".

Patrisse Khan-Cullors is an artist, organizer, and freedom fighter from Los Angeles, CA. Cofounder of Black Lives Matter, she is also a performance artist, Fulbright scholar, popular public speaker, and the 2017 Sydney Peace Prize recipient.

asha bandele is the award-winning author of The Prisoner’s Wife and several other works. Honored for her work in journalism and activism, asha is a mother, a former senior editor at Essence and a senior director at the Drug Policy Alliance.
