I was very hesitant to listen to this book because AI narrates it. But oh my... First, just because I am fascinated by the narration, I did not expect how adaptable AI is. Okay, there were a few times when the voice tone didn't fit the text, but it was only a few times. The rest was great. Of course, it would never reach the highs of a professional narrator, but considering how many audiobooks out there with human voices ruining the book, I am just blown away. Second, the plot is fantastic! The author approaches magic and witches in a unique, enjoyable way. I couldn't stop soaking it up. Great job there! Third, the heroine is a strong and intelligent woman whom I fell in love with quickly. The way the author put layers over - I assume - a future hero was beautiful, and I learned a lot from this story and how it was constructed. Fourth, I am not one who easily spends money on ebooks, so the fact that I genuinely want to know what happens next says a lot. Definitely recommend!!
