About the author
Neil deGrasse Tyson is the host of the popular podcast and National Geographic Channel TV show StarTalk and Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, which aired internationally on the National Geographic Channel. He earned his BA in physics from Harvard University and his PhD in astrophysics from Columbia University. The author of ten books, including the bestselling Death by Black Hole: And Other Cosmic Quandaries, Tyson is the first Frederick P. Rose director of the Hayden Planetarium. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
Charles Liu is a professor of astrophysics at the City University of New York’s College of Staten Island and an associate with the Hayden Planetarium and Department of Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. He has written ten books about astronomy, physics, and space science. He and his wife have three children.
Lauren Fortgang lives in New York City where she currently works as an actor and voiceover artist. She was born in Wilmington, DE. She had early training at A.C.T.'s Young Conservatory and is a graduate of Fordham University: College at Lincoln Center, where she majored in theater. Her curiosity for finding new niches in the industry has afforded her a broad career spectrum as an actor, singer, spokesperson, audiobook narrator, podcaster, and even costume designer.
Kevin R. Free is an audiobook narrator and the winner of numerous AudioFile Earphones Awards and several AudioFile best narrations of the year selections. Known for his work with young-adult novels, he has read titles by Rick Riordan, Walter Dean Myers, and Joe Haldeman. In 2011 he was named a Best Voice in Young Adult and Fantasy from AudioFile magazine for his narration of Myers’ The Cruisers: Checkmate.
Jeffrey Lee Simons is the social media director of StarTalk Radio. He is the author of Spirit in Realtime, the first installment of his near-future young adult science iction series. He is also the coauthor of Making Money While Making a Difference. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, daughter, and four cats.
