A well researched and well worded explanation of his theology and an approach to viewing the cross through covenantal history as issues to popular appointment theories. Overall it still seems more complicated but more consistent. A great informal, yet well cited writing style that makes you feel less like you're getting a textbook read to you and more like you're sitting in a well stocked study, surrounded by books with the advent of pipe tobacco, old wood, and a little bit of Scotch while a wise friend answers your questions... with a few tangents.

He serves as the chair of New Testament and Early Christianity at the School of Divinity at the University of St. Andrews as well as Senior Research Fellow at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University.
