About this audiobook

Train like Olympic marathoner and 2014 Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi With his historic win at the 2014 Boston Marathon, Meb Keflezighi cemented his legacy as one of the great champions of long-distance running. Runners everywhere wanted to know how someone two weeks away from his thirty-ninth birthday, who had only the fifteenth best time going into the race, could defeat the best field in Boston Marathon history and become the first American man to win the race in thirty-one years. Meb for Mortals describes in unprecedented detail how four-time Olympian Keflezighi prepares to take on the best runners in the world. More importantly, the book shows everyday runners how to implement the training, nutritional, and mental principles that have guided him throughout his long career, which in addition to the 2014 Boston win includes an Olympic silver medal and the 2009 New York City Marathon title.

About the author

Meb Keflezighi's victory at the 2014 Boston marathon made him the first American man to win the race in thirty-one years. He's won nearly two dozen national titles and is a four-time USA Olympian. The author or coauthor of several running books, including 26 Marathons, he lives in San Diego, California.

When he was seven, David Sadzin's first grade teacher gave him a paragraph to read out loud. She interrupted him halfway to proclaim him "The Ringmaster" in his class's musical extravaganza about the circus. He's been using his voice to get out of trouble ever since.

Scott Douglas is a contributing writer for RunnersWorld.com and the author or coauthor of several books, including Running Is My Therapy, The Athlete's Guide to CBD, and the New York Times bestsellers 26 Marathons and Meb for Mortals.
