About the author

Marc Lewis is a neuroscientist and a retired professor of developmental psychology. He is the author or coauthor of over fifty journal publications, editor of an academic book on developmental psychology, and coauthor of a book for parents. More recently he has written two books on the science and experience of addiction.

Jeff Semple is a senior reporter with Global News, a Canadian news broadcaster. He is also the host of China Rising and Russia Rising, which was the #1 podcast in Canada on iTunes in 2019 and named one of Apple's "Top Podcasts of the Year." He lives in Toronto with his wife and daughter.
