A Herculean effort by the author- that weaves together material that has already been written about Rosemary Kennedy, with newer archival information gleaned from the JFK Library; such as writings from Ms. Kennedy's diaries, and letters from her parents, Joseph P. and Rose Kennedy. Due to the machinations of her father, and her abrupt removal from her family element- there is much that remains a mystery about Rosemary's life, post- lobotomy. Still- the book is a valuable addition to the Kennedy chronology, and Rosemary is a more than deserving subject.
