About this audiobook

From multiple Bram Stoker Award–winning author Jonathan Maberry comes a major new thriller that combines the best of the New York Times bestselling books World War Z by Max Brooks and James Rollins’s Sigma Force Series to kick off the start of a new series featuring Joe Ledger and the Department of Military Sciences.

When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week, there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills—and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle. This rapid-response group is called the Department of Military Sciences, or the DMS for short. It’s bad because his first mission is to help stop a group of terrorists from releasing a dreadful bioweapon that can turn ordinary people into zombies. The fate of the world hangs in the balance.

I've been reading and listening on audible whike at work. and I've smashed through to number 6 Code Zero. even his short storys that act as backstory and in some cases either a prequel or epilogue to each novell. Now dont get me wrong these books arent very deep or intellectually stimulating, but they are written well and have good plot and character development. and its super fun how even tho the bar keeps getting pushed from reality JM makes its seem almost plausibe. And thats why i read

The book was pretty good. The only part of it I didn't like was in the early scenes when they were evaluating Joe ledger's fighting abilities and describing it in fractions of a second. I felt that this was a little too teenage drama. Morgan to the over-the-top nonsense that you would find in the resident evil movies from the second release onward. Other than that it was a solid read and I really enjoyed it. I'm thankful I found a series that takes itself very seriously.

if you really listen to this book it explains to us how covid got released. shows us how the pharmaceutical companies in the medical companies stood to make millions of no billions of of dollars. and now everyone vaccinated is getting sick oh well it turns out the vaccine doesn't actually stop the person from getting covid then what's the point of taking the vaccine if it doesn't do anything. it is doing something it's making everyone sick. everybody I know that's got the vaccination is sick right now when I had called it I didn't take the vaccination and I feel fine today I'm perfectly healthy 100% healthy I am not sick at all and I'm doing really well but every single person that got the vaccine a year ago is sick everybody I know is looking horrible the brother unfortunately is doing really bad but I know that he is going to be healed I believe in God I believe in Jesus Christ. trust in Jesus and only he can set you free

So for me, it’s really more about enabling the text and what the author is trying to say.”
