An Aural Delight I am a huge Jane Austen fan, and I was delighted to find this audiobook narrated by Prunella Scales at one of my favorite book review sites. Interestingly, I just requested it because it was a narrated version of three of my favorite Jane Austen stories: Sense and Sensibility, Emma, and Persuasion. When I opened up the audiobook, I was delighted to see it was narrated by Prunella Scales. While she has a great body of work likely best known in her native Britain, probably most Americans know her as Mrs. Fawlty from Fawlty Towers. From what I understand, this is a remastered version of an old Decca Records recording. The sound quality is fantastic. Ms. Scales did a great job creating different voices. I especially liked her characterization of the Dashwood girls and Emma. If you enjoy Jane Austen's works, you will enjoy them even more as narrated by the very talented Prunella Scales. I received a free copy of this audiobook, but that did not affect my review.
