The Penultimate...oh no it's almost over!!! These characters seem real because they are so well written. I LOVE this story! Book 8 raises the stakes. I'm going to listen to it again before starting the final, final book.

The writing is as good as ever and the narration remains mostly unobtrusive and clear, but this production (vs the previous 7) has sporadic punch one that drag you out of the story with the change in levels every time they occur.

fantastic. Best science fiction series ever. Internally consistent, technically sound, competently developed characters. Up there with John Windham in making science fiction true literature while still being good science fiction.
