Kevin Carpenter
Much like all of the Michael Bennett series, there's far too much about his crazy family. Not sure why we can't just have a book that doesn't involve some drama with one of his ten kids? If we're being at all realistic, all 10 should be dead by now, since every book between 1-3 of them are being hunted, beaten up, or incarcerated. I'd much rather see the author stick to one or the other-either have one of his kids be the victim of the crime, or just stick to a traditional crime story. Even for a fiction writing, the ending is almost comical and unbelievable. it's like the author decided that after 106 chapters they needed to rush to wrap it up, with an unbelievable and comical ending to solve the murders. Ditch the 8 hrs about his 10 kids and their nonsense.
