Frederick M. Trapnell, Jr., had a fifty-year career in computer and software engineering and engineering management-starting with IBM and retiring in 2007 from Hewlett-Packard. He is a life-long aviation enthusiast with a special affection for naval aviation. He lives with his wife in Los Altos, California.
