well-written account of one of millions of lives torn apart by the horrors and evil of wwii. black lice, jaundice, gangrene, starvation, beatings and bitter cold. i find it impossible to forgive those who allowed it to happen and i wasnt there. So amazed at her and her family's strength. To shake that man's hand, would have taken more for me than it would to bear the suffering and humiliation he caused.

I have read this book several times. It really enthralled me. Life is hard. But if I compare my life to what Corrie Ten Boom went through, it's not hard at all. She had a strong faith in God, and a close relationship with Jesus, and that got her through her experience. I re-read it from time to time to help remind myself that my life is really, very good, and that I need to continue to build my relationship with Jesus every day as well. It will get me through hard times; as it did Corrie.

I love history and I can't believe what corrietenboom and her sister went through during world war 2 and that she was almost killed by the Nazis and how she helped women in the death camps and how much she and other women believed in Jesus and I went through the same thing she and I lost people we loved I lost my grandparents and she lost her mother and father and sister and I will always think of corrietenboom and how she gives me strength in Jesus and how I will never stop praying 🙏
