Very good. A really good classic haunted house story. Unease turns into fear, turns into all-encompassing despair as the happy family members get threatened, creeped out, until finally the house is affecting everyone who comes near it. Disturbing without being disgusting or crass. The pacing is excellent, and the story grabs you from the beginning. I saw one reviewer compare it to a Stephen King book, and though I'd agree that the writing style is similar, a King book would be WAY slower paced at the beginning. Here, in the first hour creepy stuff is already happening. I like King a lot, but sometimes he takes his sweet time with a little too much sub-character exposition. None of that here. This book is laser-focused and doesn't dawdle. Highly recommended.

he is the best author i have read all his books and I hope he writes more.he is by far the best author along side stephen King.
