The captivating story is almost ruined by the performance of the narrator, who seems to have been so focused on giving each character a foreign accent that he forgot to put any emotion into what they say.

A page turner! I really enjoyed listening to the book. There's been so many adaptations of this book, and after watching several movies of differing accounts, I finally decided to read the book, and I wasn't disappointed. My only regret is not reading this sooner; I wouldn't have wasted my time with the movies, which were nothing compared to the book. The narrator did a fantastic job, in my opinion, which made the book so much enjoyable. I highly recommend this book.
