About this app

Getting started

It takes just a few minutes to get started with Santander Mobile Banking.

Already a customer?
You’ll need your Personal ID, the phone number and/or email address that you’ve registered with us and your Security Number.

Open the app and select ‘Logon’.
Follow the on screen instructions

Once set up be sure to allow ‘push notifications’ to see any messages from us on your phone’s home screen.


New to Santander?
You can now open a Personal Current Account using our app. Simply open the app and select ‘New to Santander’.

We’ll guide you through the application process to set up your account straight away.

Remember …

Never share a One Time Passcode (OTP) or your Security Number with anyone. Not even a Santander employee.
Santander will never ever call to ask to log on to your mobile device or computer, or ask you to download any type of software.

Santander Mobile Banking will not run on devices that have been rooted.

For my purposes the app has been working fine for me. Problem is that apparently this app is going to be withdrawn and replaced with one with less functionality. It will I am told by Santander not have the ability to pay in cheques using the phones camera. This is for me the apps most useful feature. Reading other reviews it looks like others are having other issues with new version. Please keep the old version available until the new one at least has all the features of the old one. Please.

Horribly slow performance. The latest updates in Nov/Dec 2023 have messed the app up , big time, with massive delays (spinning discs) for nearly every action in the app. Un-installing/reinstalling and clearing the cache does not help. What a waste of time. Certainly did not expect this from a so-called bank. Avoid the app !

An enormous step backwards, what were you thinking? Somehow you've managed to combine a lot of clutter along with excessive white space. The result is a screen with virtually no useful information. I've plenty of suggestions, but for now, my top two are: 1) Move the buttons at the top ("Pay&Transfer" etc) off the screen and into the menu where they belong. 2) Eliminate much of the white space (or at least offer a compact mode in the settings).
