This is the complete set of early Christian writings covering the first four centuries after Christ's death, as compiled by Philip Schaff.

There are more than 60 authors, and over 2,500 works included in this collection. There are also introductions on most of the authors, which provide a background of their life and how their works came to be accepted and preserved by the wider Christian world.

All this has been catalogued as an organized app to make it easy to reference each author's work. The text size can be altered and there is a text-to-speech option.

It is truly a blessing to have the main text of P. Schaff's classic english volumes in the palm of my hand! As others have noted, the display is clean and readible and it is easy to locate texts, but the app would be MUCH better with a bookmarks, and the ability to pause and resume the speech function.

Interface and text to speech could be improved, but the volume of content that is now available for 2$ is well worth it. Such a great tool for my personal research related to textual criticism. The italic font when verses are quoted (and reference sometimes) are very helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

The text is fine, but it's not very friendly without search and bookmark functionality. The TTS is very slow to start and won't restart after pausing. Disappointing. Would love to be able to listen to it on my commute.
