Emphasizing citizens as scientists, the myFOSSIL mobile app helps users engage with the practice of paleontology, connect with others who share their interests, and collaborate on fossil field trips, research, and more. Users follow groups focused around a topic, event, or location. They then connect with group members by sharing photos and updates about their paleontological activities. Group members may include any of the nearly 1,000 amateur and professional paleontologists currently in the myfossil.org community. Directly from the field, users can upload fossil images to the myFOSSIL gallery to compare and discuss their finds and techniques. By adding in details about location, taxonomy, and geology, these fossil images become scientific records accessible to researchers and educators worldwide. Beyond specimens, users can also document and share paleontological methods, events, collecting sites, and more! Designed to facilitate a visually rich form of social learning, the myFOSSIL mobile app allows users to become part of the larger social paleontology community.

I'm having problems with the app. I created a group using the webpage but the group is not showing up on the app. Also when I try to post through the app I can't pick what group page to post through. I also can't see any new posts in the app since last week. Please fix.

This app is useless to anyone interested in finding fossils it's filled with what they call a network for fossils but instead it's so fake the app must of been developed by some one who thinks they know it all......

Literally the dumbest set up App ever used. I mean I'm dumb but it's like you had to set the thing up to know how to work it why have you made it too difficult to use your stupid app can't just post anything can't just search anyting nothing works I don't get it what's the point
