It does work, however, just because the level jumps does not mean it found some spy device. For example, my magnetic money clip sent the reading from 48 to 320. If you think you're being spied on, get the bluetooth mapping app. It plotted 28 bluetooth devices in my place with several in and around my bedroom. I dont own any bluetooth devices and the one in my phone was off. The majority were in my nieghbours on the other side of my bedroom wall.

The app literally just reacts to ferrous metal and even some non ferrous metals. Test it. Take a coin, a spoon, and some magnetic materials, place them on the floor or a flat surface, run the detector app and hover over each item. Note the meter is on the low end until passing over either metal? That's because this app is fake and a complete waste of time

Like it says it uses the magnetometer in your device, I am guessing to detect electro magnetic fields that are created by radio waves of any type, producing very inaccurate results and in most cases just plain wrong. The developer is obviously a shady character being that almost all reviews above 1 star are fake. I will not be having any of this developers software on any of my devices again.
