About this app

Update: VeinSeek 2 is here!

VeinSeek for Android is Android's answer to the popular iOS app, VeinSeek Pro.

VeinSeek takes advantage of multispectral imaging principles and the intrinsic optical properties of skin to produce enhanced images of veins; it does so by boosting oxyhemoglobin/deoxyhemoglobin absorption contrast and reducing the contribution of superficially-scattered and specularly-reflected light to the overall image.
VeinSeek for Android is incredibly simple. Your smartphone's flash will be activated on opening the app. Point your phone at the site you want to image. You can adjust the depth of the effect using the slider bar. You can also turn the effect on and off using the switch at the top of the screen. That's it! Happy vein-finding!

FAQ:

--I'm not happy with the performance of the app/the app doesn't work on my particular phone type. Can I get a refund?--

Of course! Many Android phone types may not be supported either due to software or hardware issues. Refunds requested within two hours of download through the Google Play store are granted automatically per Google Policy. If for some reason you are having trouble with getting a refund at any time, just email veinseek@gmail.com with your order number and approximate time of purchase, and we will get you a refund ASAP.

--Does this app work in all skin types?--

Yes! The effect will be most dramatic in moderately-pigmented skin. However, it works in all skin types. For very dark skin tones, you will need a phone with a bright flash.

--Does this app work for arteries?--

No. VeinSeek Android only works for veins.

--How deep can the app see?--

Depending on skin tone, VeinSeek Android detects veins up to several mm deep.

--My phone's flash is broken/My phone doesn't have a flash. Should I still download VeinSeek?--

No.

--My question isn't among those listed here. How can I get it answered?--

Just email veinseek@gmail.com and someone will get back to you as soon as possible!

The vein Scanner application needs improvement when it comes to its resolution with an android phone. To find a vein, I had to hold the phone a certain distance to be able to see certain veins. Working in the healthcare field, medical personnel would need a vein application that can have better rapid usability searching for veins. Overall, the Vein Scanner application needs update application usability abilities for any user who owns an iPhone or Android device.

Horrible. I mean all it did was really go black and white and make the surface veins appear more darker but it was if it was holligraphic so you turn the phone and the vein wouldmove or the image change. I would like to request a refund please tell me how. Thanks. I cant say it doesnt work but I can say on the LG Tribute Dynasty the app doesn't do much of what is says. Maybe on the surface but not obvious. Refund? Soon? Thanks.

It works but not great. I think most people claiming it doesn't work just need to get better phones with better cameras. Body hair gets in the way. Look at an area where you know there is a squiggly vein. Back of the hand or your anterior side of the wrist. Now you know what to look for.

What's new

Updated version features modified image processing algorithm, such that speed is improved to ~30 fps. This means VeinSeek's video output looks smoother; the app feels and functions more like a normal camera would. Also includes switch to turn VeinSeek effect on and off.
