Q. What exactly does Privacy Indicator do for me ?
Privacy Indicator helps protect your privacy by instantly letting you know whenever an app is using the camera or microphone on your device.

Q. Do I really need Privacy Indicator on my device ?
Absolutely yes. Once you grant camera or microphone usage permission to an app, you never know exactly how and when that app is using that permission. While most of the apps use these permissions when required, but there can always be some apps on your device that use it without even letting you know. And this can be a real privacy threat for everyone.

Q. I see the indicator dot when I open the Privacy Indicator app. Is Privacy Indicator also using my camera or microphone ?
That's a good question. But no, Privacy Indicator never uses the Camera or Mic on your device. It only shows up there to help you customise the indicator dot in real-time.

Ratings and reviews

Privacy indicator have access to everything. It needs to di its job, if it rly does it well I can't tell. What I do see is every time I open it indicates it's using camera with a green dot. It only tells me the same apps using functions it detects that the status bar on my android tells me making it useless and only another possible security breach.

I have another app that let's me know when someone has accessed location, camera and microphone and it tells who and at what time and if they are still accessing. This app has not done anything. No notifications, no information. Even now the other app has indicated that someone was accessing my location, this app did nothing.

Has in formed the user that this app has full access to collect, harvest even, al app data from the host device. Not sure if actually works or not, before un-intalling it did not appear to be even running in the background...
