The module “Skull&Intracranial Atlas” is a full 3D and Augmented Reality atlas for studying neuroanatomy on mobile devices.
You can access more than 2500 labels and descriptions and use 3 different visualization tools to dissect (on 3 axes), isolate, explode anatomical structures.
This module provides a variety of scientific texts organized into three cognitive levels, from general overviews to highly specific definitions, to facilitate learning and memorization.

Head Atlas also contains the module “ARTouch” where you can observe neuroanatomy in a hybrid way using a physical model called AnatomyTouch, available on the UpSurgeOn store.

FEATURES

The app is extremely helpful for visualising structures. One problem I have is the lack of structure names in the nervous system, such as corpus callosum, cingulate gyrus, substantia nigra, cranial nerves nuclei etc. It would be so much better if they where clearly named and represented through colour and/or arrows with names. Another thing that I'd love to see in the next update is a revamped "section" feature, where you can section the brain and see it like in an MRI with white and grey matter

It was just amazing. I'd highly recommend it for all anatomy students. Being able to view the skull in cross sections gives a way better idea of the extension of various bones in different views and this is especially true for bones like the sphenoid, ethmoid, palatine etc.

I really like the app. However, the previous version had this "area" feature that marked the sections without isolating the bone. I hope you add if back. It may be still here but I couldn't find it. Thank you developers.
