About this app

Since its founding in 1885, the Texas Bankers Association has led the way. TBA was the nation’s first state banking association and, today, remains America’s largest state-based trade organization for bankers. TBA honors this proud history by meeting our responsibilities to lead into the future with member-centric policies, meaningful issue advocacy, world-class professional development programs and premier product and service offerings.
TBA represents banking institutions of all asset and deposit sizes. Our membership includes small and large institutions holding state and national charters, thrift charters and non- Texas charters with thousands of branches across our state. But we are a community bank organization at heart;  97% of our members are community banks, the anchors of nearly every city and county in Texas. The median asset size of a TBA member is $243 million.
Our member institutions pay local taxes on brick and mortar buildings and employ thousands of banking professionals. Leadership roles abound through representation on the association’s Board of Directors, four Councils, 16 Committees and the Future of Banking Task Force. TBA member banks have helped to build Texas for more than 136 years. Now, more than ever, we believe that Strong Banks mean Stronger Communities.
