About this game

Matthew Park was fabulously wealthy, had a beautiful wife, and was renowned for his genius. In short, he had it all - that is, until he was murdered. There’s no shortage of suspects you must investigate to find the killer. Was it his son who he constantly yelled at, his wife who would inherit everything, or his investor who was disappointed in his performance?

CHOOSE HOW TO INVESTIGATE
Solve It! Death of a CEO is a murder mystery visual novel where your choices can bring the killer to justice. Will you aggressively interrogate the widow or give her some breathing room? Do you cooperate with the police investigation or hide facts from them? Be immersed in an interactive story where your decisions shape what happens next.

INTERROGATE THE SUSPECTS… OR ROMANCE THEM
Meet suspicious characters like Nico, the sauve yet shady bartender, and Penelope, the non-stop PR executive who is trying to keep the company ahead of the news cycle. Will you maintain a professional relationship with your suspects or begin romances with them? Characters will remember how you’ve treated them!

SOLVE THE MURDER
Find clues by talking to suspects and investigating whether their alibis hold up. Did anyone actually witness the murder? Every character has secrets - can you determine which are relevant to solving the case? Confront suspects with evidence to find their motives and make them come clean!

Haiku games are amazingly fun and on point accuracy in the explanations of their games. However, in my opinion this one wasn't as wonderful but it is in a different genre. This text adventure was just that, text only. I felt that a few puzzles or some sort of mini game here and there were NEEDED!! But a very well made game no less!! My FAV INDIE DEVELOPERS hands-down!

I've loved all of Haiku's games so far, but this is pretty different. I'm not as thrilled with the lack of puzzle interaction. the whole game is run in a wizard like fashion, so you're really limited to predetermined responses. I really don't like the timers on the keys, which are the way to the next scene. Basically, makes you either sit on your hands or pay for access over and over again. I've supported Haiku in the past and really like their stuff, but I'm not sure if I'll finish this.

I really love Haiku Games. The stories and characters are engaging. It would be nice to know how else it might have ended if I had made different choices through the game without actually having to play the whole thing again. A back button might be nice. I bumped my screen unintentionally at one point and zipped past some of the story. I couldn't go back to see what had been said. I also wish I could apply game coins toward the purchase of keys and not have to wait so long between chapters. The wait time between chapters (when not paying) in relation to the play time was a little annoying; but, beggars can't be choosers. Having an option to buy endless play without keys would have been nice. I wasn't sure that even the big key purchase would last the whole game. I didn't want to buy keys if it still wouldn't be enough--or end up with extra keys I never used. I would have been more likely to pay to get rid of the need for keys altogether than I was to buy keys. But, even with these minor irritations, I give Haiku Games five stars. I will definitely seek out more Haiku games to play. Keep up the good work!
