Simply use Twitter syntax to tag #activities and mention @people in your daily entries. Journalistic automatically compiles timelines, statistics, and insights for them and helps you find things easily. Tags and mentions are private, only you can see them.

Dreams

Dreams are a window into our subconscious mind. Journalistic has a dream journal built right in so that you can attach details about last night's adventures to your daily log.

Notes

Create notes to complement your journal entries, e.g. weekly-/monthly-/annual recaps, reflections, "lessons learned", thought experiments, etc. You can also attach notes directly to your entries to elaborate on specific topics or events.

Wisdom

Collect shower thoughts, mind-blowing facts, insightful quotes, and excerpts from good books and use them as a source of wisdom and inspiration.

It is a straight to the point app that makes it very easy to journal quickly. I love the minimalist approach, and simple way to organize. It's perfect for someone like me who needs to journal for mental health, but had trouble until very recently establishing the habit. Most importantly, it is free and with no deceptive monthly payments. But I would love if I could change the color of the background to something other than light and dark mode.

I'm absolutely loving the app so far! It's cleanly designed, and is a fresh take on journaling that I've needed. Though, I've had some bugs every now and then. Such as when I swipe [the side of my phone] to go back, sometimes it leaves the app instead of going to the previous page. And I would love to see a secret entry option. One that would just display "[Secret Note]", and would need to be opened by pin or fingerprint. Maybe these could also all be found in a "vault" of sorts. Keep it up!

Love this app!! 🔥💪👏 I hated journaling basically my whole life, but I did a lot of research and thinking about why and found this. The aesthetic is so beautiful and the features are really well built and match how I think. It's really nice that I can just write and then it organizes everything with really cool insights and amazing UI. It's minimalist, but also powerful! The only thing I'm worried about is that the dev work may have stopped cuz their update log was last updated Feb 9 2023.
