Ratings and reviews

The good things first: The video and photo quality are good even when recording under difficult conditions such as rainy nights. I can tell from the videos where I was driving and the quality is good enough that I can read road signs, street names, etc. The GPS and speed overlay on the video is very helpful. And the user interface is pretty straightforward. Now for the bad: The app doesn't change recording mode from portrait to landscape and vice versa based on how the device is oriented. You have to manually set it up. The auto-start and auto-stop of the recording are completely broken. It will continue recording long after I have turned the car off and left even though I have set the auto stop to 1 minute after charger disconnect, Similarly, auto-start will sometimes come on, sometimes not. And sometimes, it will suddenly lose some permission and will throw up a dialog or error instead of auto-starting. Overall, quite hit or miss.

app worked great the first time, using it on my note 8 the video even at night was clear and crisp HD quality. I did notice while using google maps for about an hr the phone got really hot so u suspend the recording changed some settings and know the app crashes every min trying to change settings back to see if that helps but no luck. the auto start feature doesn't work all the time and the other day it would crash every sec while on my dock in the middle of a job I give up on the app for know

Huge drawback is lack of integration into android auto. It also disconnects Google assistant which is a serious killer for the app considering it doesn't work with android auto. If it integrates with google maps that would be great too. UPDATE 12/21/18 The earlier issues mentioned persist. I also noticed that the overlay for speed and GPS don't work during playback and the recording length you set in the settings doesn't work either.
