About this app

The "Now Playing"-feature on the new Pixel 2 phones is awesome - but what happens if you don't catch a song's name before it vanishes from the lockscreen? It's gone forever :-O!

"Now Playing History" shows a history of all the songs you've listened to, sorted by date. Never miss a song again! You can tap on an entry to listen to the song in your favorite music player (customizable) and mark individual songs as "favorite". The app can optionally fetch additional details (such as the album name and album cover) for each song. An optional "map"-feature allows you to see where you've listened to each song. Explore where you've listened to the songs in your history, go back in time to see the playlist of your favorite night club, or reminisce about your last concert's set list.

The app supports Last.fm scrobbling - you can either scrobble individual songs by long-pressing on them, or automatically scrobble all newly recognized songs.

You're able to search your history of recognized songs and delete songs from your history by long-pressing on them.

You can export your entire history (or just specific songs) to Google Drive / Gmail to share them with friends or to keep a backup for yourself.

**Features**

*- Last.fm scrobbling support
*- Fetches additional details (album name, album cover) from Last.fm (optional)
*- Search, delete, mark as favorite
*- Open songs in your favorite music app (supports 10 music apps)
*- Export your history to Google Drive / Gmail
*- Map feature (optional)
*- Supports 10 system languages
*- Dark theme

All data is stored locally on your device. When using the optional "scrobbling" and "album art/details"-feature, we send the song title and artist to the Last.fm-API. If you're using the "map"-feature, the recorded locations never leave your phone. The app does not use Google Analytics or any other tracking or ad libraries.

Bummer. I have an extensive Now Playing history on my Pixel and this app is useless for exporting it. Those looking to backup existing data should look elsewhere. Description should clearly state (as do other similar apps) that the app only has value for new items. Here's hoping that the adb backup hack still works.

Great app, worth the small price. Will bump up to 5 stars if I figure out a way to only scrobble songs that aren't already being scrobbled, such as Spotify via its back-end Last.FM connector. Unfortunately, as this app currently stands, I have to turn off scrobbling or I get duplicates.

Love the app, it would be awesome if it had similar functionality to the google now playing app. Basically you can click the little arrows that expand and contract the song lists by month, by week etc.
