About this app

Conota (formerly Spotlens) is the ideal camera app for work. It has been developed particularly for professionals like civil engineers, land surveyors, architects, construction professionals and other professionals. The app allows to take photos on site and simultaneously add information both to the file name and to the photo with use of a watermark.

Conota - GPS Camera & Timestamp Camera makes capturing pictures and taking notes more efficiently, combining both processes in one single app.

There is no need to take notes on a piece of paper while taking pictures. Conota will add your inserted notes automatically both to the picture and to the file name. This will give you more time to concentrate on your work, while Conota will take care of saving your notes and pictures combined in a lossless format onto your phone.

Conota works, so you can work!

With Conota - GPS Camera & Timestamp Camera, you can add a project name, company name, notes and more information, for example a reference no. or chainage directly in the app while taking pictures.
Additional relevant data for professionals, e.g. GPS coordinates / photo location (latitude and longitude and multiple other coordinate formats), GPS accuracy, altitude, address, date and time (timestamp) will be added by Conota.

Information that can be added:
- Project name

- GPS accuracy (in m or ft)

Loving it so far. My only complaint is that I can't choose what album the photos save to and all the photos end up in my gallery. My company doesn't provide a company phone so having to scroll through hundreds of project photos to find the photos of my kids is a pain. Sure I can manually move photos to another album but when you take hundreds of photos a day it's a real pain on the a**! Add this feature in and I would give this 5 stars and recommend it to everyone of my coworkers!

Hi Austin, thanks for your feedback. Conota actually saves all photos in a separate folder named Conota already, which is within the Pictures folder, unlike photos taken with the main camera app, which go to the DCIM folder. The issue might actually be caused by your gallery app. Did you try using Google Photos? Any questions, just send me an email

Loved it until the upgrade to requiring pay for even the most basic features. You even replaced the button for flash with another button that links you to pay for the app. It's completely unusable for me, the amount your asking for is too high and so I had to uninstall. There's to much competition out there guys, which is why it's so easy to move on when you change everything and go about profit this particular way. Thanks and good luck in the future.

Hi Lisa, thanks for your review. Conota has a very generous free version with free features, which in comparable apps are only available behind a paywall. All free features remain available since the update (including the flash of course), while Pro unlocks advanced features which can definitely not be considered basic for a camera app. Michael

Liking the app so far, one thing would be nice though, if we could import photos to be grouped with photos taken it would save me a whole bunch of time trying to get a good pic of my controller after a layout to show which points were shot on the project. Integrate a field notes app and an eraser into the drawing portion and it would be my primary field notes app.

Hi Jake, thanks for your email. I am not 100% sure if I understood your feedback correctly. You would like to import external photos into Conota's gallery? And also allow to erase annotations added previously via the photo editor? Am I correct? Could you kindly reach out to us at info@conota.app, so we can discuss this further? Kind regards,Michael

What's new
