■Synopsis■

Announcing Dark Samurai Avengers! A Sengoku-inspired, dark fantasy otome with a nostalgic, back-to-basics Genius touch!

Rumors of the Black Hole Sun Prophecy, an era of endless darkness, spread as several towns and cities are blotted out by an eclipse. Your beloved father, a top shogun, and brother have been slain in battle by General Benki—an evil warlord rumored to dabble in the dark arts.

Kicked out by your greedy stepmother, you set out on a journey for vengeance. Along the way, you meet a mysterious, wandering samurai; an enthusiastic monk; and a foolhardy mercenary wearing the garments of his fallen enemies. One of them recognizes your swordsmanship—and acknowledges your father’s powerful influence.

Taken aback, you remark that your fighting school no longer stands. But before moving on, they invite you to join their quest in slaying General Benki and saving the world from being swallowed up by darkness!


■Characters■

Toshimune – The Mercenary

A well-traveled mercenary who grew up destitute and hungry with a wish to see the world. By the age of 15, he left his hometown to join a band of cutthroat mercenaries. Although foolhardy, he has certain regrets about his past contracts. Michimasa, the Warrior Monk, is his childhood friend.

Michimasa – The Monk

A Warrior Monk and bodyguard of the Crown Prince. Abandoned at birth, he was raised by warrior cultist priests fiercely loyal to the Emperor and was trained to protect his heir. He is also a childhood friend of Toshimune.

Nobuyasu – The Ronin

A distinguished, mysterious warrior in search of his deceased mentor's daughter. After a fortuitous encounter, your paths cross again at a shrine. He needs your swordsmanship to defeat General Benki and vanquish the prophecy of the Black Hole Sun.

Ratings and reviews

This is by far one of my favorite storylines from Genius, & I wish it was longer! The only reason I'm giving the game 4 stars is because there's no polyamorous choice path. I know it's not everyone's "favorite flavor" at times, but the option & story outcome that would come from it would be fantastic

AHHH another great game!! And the artstyle is great too! I'm pretty sure this is a new artstyle since I play almost ALL of your games and none of them has this artstyle. Still have a problem with the rubies being expensive, but I guess it's your way of making money. Still love this game though. But what I'm really looking forward to is a GL game. Hope to see and play more of your games in the near future, and I hope to see a GL game too. Definitely recommend this. :))

The first thing I will mention is the music, they were so good and heart touching. The story line was fantastic! The mc was very good and cool. The characters were good as well. I liked both Michimasa and Nobuyasu but Toshimune was like a side character to me. The thing most satisfying was, the episodes were very long. Loved it very much. It was so good, romantic, thrilling, funny everything. The premium choices aren't so obvious to choose so u can avoid them if u can't afford the rubies.
