How to Scan?

To scan your receipts and bills using Foreceipt, simply tap the scan icon at the bottom. Place your phone above the receipt on a plain, dark background. Foreceipt uses OCR technology to accurately read the merchant and payment data to convert your paper bills & receipts into digital receipts. You can edit, verify or delete your receipts once scanned. Foreceipt is the most convenient expense tracker available.

After other experiences with OCR receipt apps I am hesitant to leave a review, BUT here it is. Been around the block a few times and my experience with Foreceipt has been excellent. The OCR is the best I have ever used and it is pretty accurate most of the time. Been using it for about 3-4 months. So far it has been very good. Fingers crossed! Update! Been using this app for about a year. It's has performed perfectly. I have tried several over the years and Foreceipt is #1... Don't change it.

Absolutely love this time-saving app that streamlines the daunting task of tracking receipts for tax season! The intuitive design keeps me organized and stress free. One feature that would elevate this already excellent app to stellar status would be an automatic edge detection feature for capturing receipts, similar to what Adobe Scan offers. Keep up the good work, developers! You've got something really special here.

I've just started using the app but it is working perfectly and far better than the 5+ apps I tried before this one. Customer Service helping me get up and running was phenomenal. They responded to 3 emails on Christmas Day!!! UPDATE: I just spent the past 2 days uploading receipts for all of 2019 and 2020 and the app works perfectly. I love that I can either upload an image or send any email receipts to my dedicated foreceipt inbox. I'm so glad I found this app. I'm never going to have to stress about tax time again!
