About this game

Join millions of fanatical Euchre players. Get the best card game ever: Euchre! It is simple, fast to learn and offers you guaranteed fun!

Euchre is played with a deck of 24 standard playing cards. There are two teams of 2 players each.

When naming a suit (ordering up trump), a player states that their team intends to win the majority of tricks of the hand. A single point is scored if the team takes three or four tricks, and two points are scored if the team takes all five tricks. A failure of the team to win three tricks is referred to as being "euchred", and that team is penalized by giving the opposing team two points.

A caller with very good cards can "go alone" (order up alone), in which case the caller tries to win the march without a partner. The partner of a caller in a lone hand does not play, and if the caller achieves the march (winning all 5 tricks), the winning partners score 4 points. If only three or four of the tricks are taken while going alone, then only one point is scored. If euchred while playing alone, the opposing team still only receives 2 points.

The primary rule to remember when playing Euchre is that one is never required to play the trump suit (unless that is the one that is led), but one is required to follow suit if possible.

Very enjoyable but hands are not truly random, this can be improved upon by using a better randomizing routine. I have yet come across a hand where someone has been dealt four 9s. I have played in the past where if you get four 9s dealt to you, the hand is thrown in and the deal passes to the next person to the left of the current dealer.

It is close to euchre, but it is too annoying to keep playing. Firstly, there are way too many forced ads unless I turn on airplane mode. The algorithm and randomness are very suspect. Too many times, I have seen one opponent call trump with 1 face card while their partner takes all of the tricks. Lastly, the user partner algorithm forced me to uninstall... they called a loner and got euchered. This should never happen.

For the most part, I really enjoy this app. I have two issues with it, and have taken off one star of my rating for each. First, there are too many ads for a fully enjoyable experience. I think it would be better off having small ads showing all the time rather than the pop-ups after each round. Second, there is a bug in the computer. Every time it is applicable, the computer will follow suit with the left bower for its printed suit (as though it isn't trump). Hopefully it can be fixed!
