About this game

TouchArcade: 4/5 "...very good roguelike and a fun game"
148Apps: 4/5 "Sarcastically difficult"

Quest of Dungeons is a turn based dungeon crawler game featuring a good old 16-bit retro artistic look.

An unspecific evil Dark Lord has stolen all the light, so your mission is to enter his lair and defeat him. That's it, now go get him.

By playing as either a Warrior, a Wizard, a Assassin or a Shaman you have to traverse dungeons, defeat enemies and loot everything you can in order to survive. You can learn new skills in Tomes you find along the way and buy/sell items at shops.
The entire game is procedural so you won't find items/enemies in the same place each time you play.

Features
-Procedural dungeons
-Procedural weapons
-Boss encounters
-Quests
-4 Difficulty levels
-Permadeath - Once you die, game over man, game over!
-Shop - buy and sell items/weapons

Its a fun game for about 5 minutes. There isnt really much balancing and picking up a different looking item just to find out its named, "weak(insert weapon/armor/shield)" is lack luster. Gold balancing is another issue. Picking up the increasingly rare gems doesnt feel worth it, since you could pick up a shiny rock or a triple emerald quartz square diamond and they both sell for 15 gold, while the items the shop keeper offers are low tier items that cost 10k or more. Overall its a 4 chicken feet

Randomness means you can die five seconds into a playthrough or a half an hour later against something you just can't overcome. All comes down to luck. Skills don't matter, only the gear you find. Random quests you find can take half an hour running around the floor just trying to find the objective that randomly generated somewhere. Everything just feels like time wasted.

Would like to see an easier way to play caster, constantly switching to and out of a spell is absolutely tedious. Also, a way to shrink the borders so you aren't accidentally tabbing out constantly by hitting minimize functions on your phone. Ppl in the reviews are saying it isnt "balanced" without knowing what it means , this isn't a multiplayer game, this isn't World of warcraft, there are not multiplayer engagements or PvP functionality. The gameplay is fun and addictive that's that
