About this game

This game is no longer compatible with Android devices using an operating system version higher than 13.

Become fond of converting units of measurement with the Raton des conversions mobile application from Alloprof created to cultivate a taste for mathematics among 5th and 6th year primary school students.

To avoid waste, the player must practice converting measurements to help his gluttonous raccoon eat as much food as possible from the city's trash cans. By reviewing these concepts, he accumulates time to accomplish his mission. Each successful conversion gives him gold coins to buy great accessories in the store to facilitate his food collection.

educational goals

- Review the various units of length

- Develop the logic of converting length units using the conversion table

The Raton des conversions game targets 5th and 6th grade elementary school students and aims to sharpen their understanding of the mechanics of converting units of length. In a fun and colorful environment, the player is exposed to a simple and effective method which consists of correctly arranging the digits and the decimal point of the number to be converted in a conversion matrix. Students who learn to apply this method to units of length can transpose it to other types of units that they will see throughout their school career, both in mathematics and in science. At Alloprof, we have always noticed that many students make errors due to poorer mastery of unit conversions. This gap follows them until the end of secondary school where, among other things in science, they must regularly convert units to solve problems. This ability is called upon for example when they have to calculate the speed of an object, the force of a pulley or the pressure of a gas.
